A SCHOLAR: BEST and WORST

The Sufi Mystic RUMI defines an intellectually dishonest branch of scholars by quoting an utterance of Prophet Muhammad which reads:

“The worst scholar is he who visits the rulers, and the best ruler is one who visits the scholars. The worst scholar is he who accepts help and privileges from the rulers and whose welfare and salvation depends upon and stems from the fear of the rulers. Willy-nilly he comforts himself with the way ,which the rulers have mapped out for him.”

So friends Rumi had already defined the branch of NINDAKS, who mortgage their brains to their patrons, use the pen and matter of their Ali Baba and are possessed souls of their worldly Masters and who are Writers without Conscience.  Such dead souls are curse for themselves, their families and society and receive severe punishment on Day of Judgement in the Divine Court.
