We had shared the direction/Adesh from Akaal Takhat Sahib from Datuk Sucha Singh Ji’s timeline on 13-Sept-2017.  After seeing this mischievous post, see Figure 1, we contacted Datuk Sucha Singh Ji to clarify the circumstances and context of the direction/Adesh.  His response follows.

DATUK SUCHA SINGH CLARIFIES

This is what Datuk Sucha Singh Ji says.

First let us understand clearly that Akaal Takhat Sahib is independent and the Supreme Spiritual and Temporal authority of the Sikhs.  Akaal Takhat Sahib can address the Hukamnamas, Gurmattas, directions or Adesh to the Sangat and the Gurdwaras.  There is no protocol or requirement in Sikhi or SRM that require Akaal Takhat Sahib to address them to MGC.

Secondly the Akaal Takhat Sahib did not ban or authorise anyone to ban the preaching and reciting of Guru Gobind Singh’s compositions in Dasam Granth from Gurdwaras in Malaysia.  Nor has Akaal Takhat Sahib declared that preaching and reciting of Guru Gobind Singh’s compositions are against the SRM.

I did not want to say but in the circumstances I wish to say that I received the direction/Adesh dated 7-July-2017 from Akaal Takhat Sahib.

The direction/Adesh, is in response to my request for a direction from Akaal Takhat Sahib, addressed to the Malaysian Sangat and Gurdwaras.

This is to address the issue of

1. parchar and activities of controversial Panth Dokhi parcharaks and scholars, and elements both foreign and local who for some time have been slandering (ninda ਨਿੰਦਾ) and distorting (ਤੋੜ ਮਰੋੜ)

• the Amrit Sanchar, 5 bania,
• Gurbani generally,
• Guru Gobind Singh’s compositions,
• established Sikh practices and
• Sikh History .

2. the Preaching and reciting Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s compositions are even banned in Malaysian Gurdwaras except Jaap, Swawyeh and Benti Chaupai.

These directions dated 7-July-2017 read together with the earlier Gurmattas and Matta from Akaal Takhat Sahib, leave no doubt that they are directed at these Panth Dokhi parcharaks and scholars.

This direction/Adesh reinforces what I, as past President of MGC, said in my Interviews and articles.  Please see LINK A, LINK B, LINK C, LINK D and LINK E.

I pray that the Malaysian Sangat and Gurdwaras will identify and recognise these controversial Panth Dokhi elements and their promoters in Malaysia, and respect, comply and enforce the direction/Adesh of Akaal Takhat Sahib.

Thank you Datuk Sucha Singh Ji for clarifying the circumstances and context of the direction/Adesh.  

It is further pointed out that Baba Banta Singh Ji was in Malaysia during the period 25-June-2017 to 27-June-2017.   Hence the claim in Figure 1 by the miscreant mischievous elements is an ABSOLUTE LIE and FABRICATED TO CAUSE CONFUSION in the Sangat.  

We are surprised that MGC from its comments (see Figure 2) in their letter dated 14-Sept-2017 claims that Baba BantaSingh Ji  was in Malaysia during July/August 2017.   

Further Baba Banta Singh Ji is from Bidhi Chand Samparda, NOT DAMDAMI TAKSAL as claimed by MGC.

Additionally MGC is claiming it is “strictly following the SRM” (see Figure 3).  This appears to be a false claim because the Akaal Takhat/SGPC  sanctioned SRM (see LINK F) at SGPC website specifies “In the congregation, kirtan only of Gurbani (Guru Granth’s or Guru Gobind Singh’s hymns) and, …” under Article VI (c).  See extract in Figure 3.  By their ban on Guru Gobind Singh’s Banee, MGC does not seem to be abiding by the SRM.  Aren’t they LYING IN THAT THEY STRICTLY FOLLOW THE SRM?

CONCLUSION

• Is MGC lying?  Can we believe all the other claims in their letter?
• Since it appears MGC is not following the Panthic SRM; WHICH REHAT MARYADA are they FOLLOWING?
• Are they PART OF THE ELEMENTS behind the contents of Figure 1?
• Do they have the INTEREST OF THE SANGAT in mind?

MGC SEEMS TO HAVE LET THE SANGAT DOWN.  IS THE FENCE EATING THE CROP?

SANGAT JI.  THE DECISION IS YOURS.  It is about time you find out “what seem to be lies” and get clarification to the points above.
