by Dr Harnaak Singh

The video shows Sarabjeet Dhunda’s limited intelligence with lack of knowledge in general, and Gurbani in particular.   Further with his limited intelligence he, full of ego, doubts Gurbani when Kabir Ji says

ਦੇਖਤ ਸਿੰਘੁ ਚਰਾਵਤ ਗਾਈ

I saw (ਦੇਖਤ) the lion (ਸਿੰਘੁ) herding (ਚਰਾਵਤ) the cows (ਗਾਈ).

ਜਲ ਕੀ ਮਛੁਲੀ ਤਰਵਰਿ ਬਿਆਈ

The fish (ਮਛੁਲੀ) that lives in water (ਜਲ ਕੀ) gives birth (ਬਿਆਈ) on a tree (ਤਰਵਰਿ).

Why does Dhunda doubt Gurbani?

HE USES LOGIC, REASON AND CRITICAL THINKING within his limited shell of knowledge.

You see the problem with LOGIC, REASON AND CRITICAL THINKING is that it is limited by ones knowledge and understanding as well as perception often GUIDED BY EGO.   The video clearly proves this.

Gurbani is a vast ocean of knowledge far beyond any human can fathom.  Our Gurus were “ENLIGHTENED” souls through whom GOD sent us Gurbani

It is fool hardy of us to start to look at Gurbani through the eyes of LOGIC, REASON and CRITICAL thinking.

This is why we say if “you learn only class 1 IT IS STUPID TO COMMENT ON SECONDARY CLASS 12 WORK”.

Let us address this with a very simple example which shows the folly of lack of knowledge.

Figure 1 pictorially illustrates this.

Figure 1: Knowledge level

171007 Knowledge Level 1

It may be a bit confusing, my apologies, but please refer to the figure to understand the message.  You can choose to refer to the Maths part or english part.

In Figure 1 some material related to

Subject type

  • Maths, Figures 1(a) and 1(b) and
  • English, Figures 1(c) and 1(d) is shown.

Knowledge level

  • Figure 1(a) and 1(c) is material for class 1.
  • Figures 1(b) and 1(d) is for class 12.

Let us consider Maths part, Figure 1(a) and Figure 1(b) first.

  • Figure 1(a) shows addition of 1 three times to give result 3.
  • Figure 1(b) is the same but written in class 12 mathematics style.

Now to English part, Figure 1(c) and Figure 1(d).

  • Figure 1(c) is class 1 English and
  • Figure 1(d) is class 12 English.

Now do you think the class 1 student will be able to understand class 12 work?

If the class 1 student says that the class 12 work is rubbish would you belief that?

Think about this carefully.  It depends on ones knowledge level doesn’t it.  Those who know class 12 would say that the class 1 student is talking rubbish.

Only class 1 students who believe and BLINDLY accept that the class 12 work is TRUE, and works towards that end will be successful to reach class 12.

What happens if FULL OF EGO, the class one student arrogantly interprets the class 12 work?  The result will be as shown in Figures 2(b) and 2(d).

Figure: The result of limited knowledge

171007 Knowledge Level 2

Would you want to learn something that is class 12 level from a class 1 student?  If you do then the result will be as confusing as in Figure 2(b) and 2(d).

This is what we get with the Class 1 student.

  • =1 =3 where =1 =3

  • Up her she said.  I at her.  She me and you.  I is it the in and all of.

The message now is totally different from the original.

What will happen, the ego filled arrogant class 1 student will never progress beyond class 1.  since they don’t not believe in Class 12 which does not make sense to them.  AND those who follow this class 1 ego filled arrogant student will not progress either.

BUT what will happen to those who BLINDLY say that the class 12 work is TRUE and work towards it?  They will progress to class 12.

DON’T relegate learning Gurbani to just LOGIC, REASON and CRITICAL THINKING.  LOGIC, REASON and CRITICAL THINKING which is limited to one’s knowledge level.

If you don’t know or don’t understand something does not mean it is NOT TRUE.

Do you want to listen to people like Dhunda whose knowledge is limited and term FALSE what is beyond their knowledge level?

The video proves beyond doubt the limited Dhunda’s knowledge level and his refusal to have faith in the words of the GURU.  Within the bounds of his knowledge the fish cannot lay eggs on a tree.  AND a lion cannot herd a calf.

BUT is that TRUE?  You be the judge.

Guru Ji uses metaphors.  These metaphors are observation of events or accepted stories.

Guru Ji does not make up false events or stories.
