The stand of the Takhts on Kirtan/Katha from Dasam Granth is outlined below. The related extracts (Documents are included as a PDF file attached with this article) are shown in the picture below. The English Translation is below the picture.

It is explicitly and unequivocally clear that Kirtan and Katha from the Dasam Granth is allowed.

Sri Akal Takht Sahib (06-06-2008): … The controversy created about the Dasam Granth is absolutely unnecessary. The compositions from the Dasam Granth in relation to in Rehat Maryada, Nitnem, Amrit Sanchar have been accepted, nobody has the right to question this. The whole panth is put to notice that Sri Dasam Granth is an unquestionable part of the Sikh Panth and History.

Sri Patna Sahib (22-07-2016): The Banee in Sri Dasam Granth is the composition of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. This Banee was completed during the time of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The Banee in Sri Dasam Granth is approved for the Panth. According to the Sikh Rehat Maryada, Kirtan and Katha form Sri Dasam Granth can be conducted in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. This has been the practice historically since our Gurus’ times (ਪੁਰਾਤਨ) at the Five Takhts and other Gurdwaras.

Sri Hazoor Sahib (27-07-2016): In the Sikh Faith based on the practice, historically since our Gurus’ times (ਪੁਰਾਤਨ) the Kirtan and Katha of Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Ji, in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, can be conducted. Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Ji is the composition of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and historically since our Gurus’ times (ਪੁਰਾਤਨ) the Kirtan has been conducted at Sri Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar and all the Takhts and other historical Gurus’ holy places. ….

Sri Keshgarh Sahib (29-07-2016): … Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Ji are the pillars (ਸਿਰਮੋਰ) of the Khalsa Panth. Just like the Kirtan and Katha from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is performed, likewise it is necessary to perform Kirtan and Katha from all the Banees from the Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Ji.

Sri Damdama Sahib (05-08-2016): … the Holy Banee (ਪਾਵਨ ਬਾਣੀ)of Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Ji is being slandered. The slander of the Holy Banee (ਪਾਵਨ ਬਾਣੀ) is the slander of Tenth Master (ਦਸ਼ਮੇਸ਼ ਪਿਤਾ). The slanderers have been doing this from a long time, some of them imitated the Banee and some slandered it. “Jealously emulating the True Guru, some others may speak of good and bad, but the false are destroyed by their falsehood”. We advise that you to keep reciting, reading and singing Banee composed by Tenth Master (ਦਸ਼ਮੇਸ਼ ਪਿਤਾ) completely ignoring and disregarding the slanderers.
