HUKAMNAMA GLOBAL SIKH COUNCIL IS PANTH DOKHI

The Gurmatta from Akal Takht issued on 6 June 2008 (see below) clearly and unequivocally states that the Dasam Granth is an inseparable part of Sikh History and Literature and the entire Sikh Panth is to accept it in addition to the SGGS Ji which is also our LIVING GURU.

Wouldn’t you say that the call for “Ek Granth”, means rejecting the Dasam Granth?

What would you call those who reject the Dasam Granth? Going against the Akal Takht Gurmatta?  Aren’t they going against the Panth i.e. “Panth Virodhi”?  Aren’t they inimical to the Panth i.e. “Panth Dokhi”?

Does not the video statement by the Five Singh Sahiban (5 Pyare) merely emphasise what the 2008 Akal Takht Gurmatta states?

The Sangat can make the judgement.

AKAL TAKHT GURMATTA DATED 6-6-2008

English Translation

Today Day 23 Jeth,Year Nankshahi 540 (06 June 2008) at Sri Akal Takht Sahib, in the meeting of the Five Singh Sahiban, Approved

Gurmata-1

In conjunction with the 300th anniversary celebrations of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji’s Gurgta Gaddi Divas, this is a golden opportunity for the entire Sikh Panth to show it’s commitment to the doctrine of “Guru Granth-Guru Panth”. The Sikh Panth has been practising the Final Hukum of Sahib Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji “Sabh Sikhan Ko Hukum Hai Guru Manio Granth” by always accepting Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji as its Jagat Jot Satguru (Living Light of satguru) with a strong vigilance. The Sikh Panth has sought the Guidance of Jugo Jug Atal Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji to solve all Race (Sikh Qaum) related problems. The arguments raised pertaining to Sri Dasam Granth are absolutely unnecessary.  No one has the right to raise arguments against those rachnavan (writings) in the Dasam Granth that have been accepted by the Sikh Panth in the Sikh Rehet Maryada, Nitnem and Amrit SancharThe entire Sikh Panth must be  aware that the Sri Dasam Granth is an inseparable part of Sikh literature and history, but Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji did not give it an equal status to Sahib Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Only, and only Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji obtained the Gurta Gaddi from Him (S.G. Gobind Singh Ji).  That is why no other granth can be made Parkash equal to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
